The Telephone Exchange

Originally from Paringa, this building contains a switchboard that was used at Moorook from 1935 until 1974. Housed within is a display of telephones and equipment used many decades ago, before modern technology and back when operators were accused of listening in to conversations, forming local gossip!

Listen to the audio for more information on how telephone services began.....
